Child protection commitment
Development Innovation Foundation (DIF) and its programs (including Rozgar Dhaba and Girls2Schools) adhere to Indian law and international NGO best practices to protect children from harm.
Before hiring, staff in contact with children are screened not only in background checks checking for crime, but with reference checks focusing on conduct. Upon hiring, staff members are required to read and commit to best practices in child protection.
Zero tolerance for corporal punishment
When working with schools, tuition centers, or non-formal education centers, DIF enforces a zero-tolerance policy towards physical punishment.
